BlackShot: Revolution represents the greatest overhaul of the
game’s systems to date, and our team knows there is a lot of information to
process before everything goes live on July 25th. Below you can find
answers to some of the most frequently asked questions we’ve received from the
community about the update:
Your Clan, including its name, list, and mark will directly carry
over into Revolution. Based on player feedback, our team is also introducing more
previous Clan War elements into Competitive Mode and improving Clan
recordkeeping to allow more Clan-related gameplay to be recorded in the game.
Continuing to improve Clan features is our team’s top priority following the
launch of Revolution.
After processing the feedback we received following the
initial Revolution announcement, our team is now working on a potential
solution through which existing BlackShot player ranks can be converted for use
in the new ranking system, no longer requiring all accounts to be reset to
level 1. We will provide updates when a decision is finalized on this feature.
Additionally, our team is also exploring the implementation
of exclusive customization items to reflect ranks obtained before the
Revolution update – stay tuned for more information on this soon.
Gold is awarded for playing matches and is used to purchase
all Weapons and Gear from the Shop, in addition to performing a variety of other
in-game functions. There is also a new tier of Goldbox that can be opened using
Gold.
Gems are both available for purchase and obtainable as
rewards for in-game events. Gems are used to purchase permanent character
customization items and higher-tier Goldboxes. Character customization items
and Goldbox rewards do not provide any major gameplay advantage, instead
granting benefits primarily cosmetic in nature.
Your BP and BP guns will be converted to Veteran Supply Packages containing Gold, Weapons, Items, and, at higher levels, Gems.
BC items purchased at the shop will be converted to Gems, while Goldbox items not sold at the shop will be converted to Gem packages and premium weapons.
The conversion rate is:
65 Gems = 6000 Gold = USD1
One hour of standard gameplay can earn approximately 3600
Gold, though playing skillfully can increase this amount substantially.
Keep in mind that although the item prices in BlackShot:
Revolution are not the same as BlackShot 1.0, the overall economy is very
different as well: as a result of the sweeping weapon rebalances, exclusively using
the default weapons will no longer place you at a disadvantage, making it
easier to save up Gold for larger future purchases.
These records will be immortalized in the Hall of Fame, a page
that will be featured on the new BlackShot: Revolution website. The Hall of
Fame will be available for any player to view.
The weapons in BlackShot: Revolution feature equalized stats
between each major weapons group, both reducing the stats of previously
‘overpowered’ weapons (such as those obtained with BSC/Goldboxes) and
increasing the viability of weapons provided to every player by default.
Furthermore, weapons are now categorized by their
performance to align with different overall playstyles, including Balanced,
Rapid-Fire, and Damage-Heavy, making it easier to select new items from the
Shop based on the way you play the game.
Premium Characters as they are currently known will not be
featured in BlackShot: Revolution. Instead, customization parts can be
purchased and applied to the four primary characters (Adam, Travis, Cathy, and
Vanessa) to change their appearances to those of the previous Premium
Characters. These customization items are purely cosmetic and will not grant
any additional gameplay advantages or stat boosts.
BlackShot: Revolution is coming on July 25. If you have any
further questions regarding the update, we encourage you to reach out to our GM
Team through the Official BlackShot Discord Server.
